Leading cueist Rakesh Roshan Pradhan returned to form after a big gap to win the title in the SJ Cup All-Orissa Snooker Tournament at Billiards & Snooker Academy in Bhunaneswar today.
Second seed Rakesh overcame reigning state senior billiards and snooker champion Subrat Das 6-4 in the best of 11-frame final to take home the top prize of the Rs 15,000.
Fortune changed hands till the eighth frame before the bespectacled Rakesh won two frames in a row to clinch the exciting match 56-13, 24-63, 57-12, 24-51, 26-53, 52-16, 62-34, 40-59, 57-3, 65-38.
The ninth frame came as major setback for sixth seed Subrat as he could score only three points against his opponent’s 57.
